Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee and manage staff, including drivers, movers, and warehouse personnel. Provide training, development, and performance evaluations to ensure team productivity and cohesion.
- Logistics Coordination: Plan, schedule, and dispatch crews for residential and commercial moves. Ensure efficient routes, timely deliveries, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring that all customer interactions are professional and solutions-oriented. Maintain strong relationships with clients to secure repeat business and referrals.
- Inventory & Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and management of moving equipment, vehicles, and supplies. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
- Budget Management: Assist in creating and managing the operations budget. Monitor expenses and resource allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety protocols, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and insurance requirements.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational costs. Provide regular reports to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations and the successful completion of moves.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or logistics management, preferably in the moving, transportation, or similar industry.
Skills:
- Physical strength
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and inventory management.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software (e.g., scheduling, tracking, and reporting tools).
